About Us

Manure Trader is a free online service established in 2007 by the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers’ (PA SBDCs’) Environmental Management Assistance Program, working with the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

This service is intended to help farmers find users for their excess manure. It allows registered users to post both available and wanted listings, to access directories of manure brokers and haulers, and to link to other valuable sources of information. Detailed instructions on how to use this site are available here.

The Pennsylvania SBDCs are a network of eighteen college and university-based centers dedicated to helping Pennsylvania entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. The Environmental Management Assistance Program (EMAP) is a statewide program providing no cost, confidential consulting assistance to small businesses representing a broad range of industries, including the agricultural sector. EMAP is a partnership funded, in part, by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Departments of Community and Economic Development and Environmental Protection, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the participating colleges and universities. All programs and services are provided on a non-discriminatory basis. SBA cannot endorse any products, opinions, or services of any external parties or activities.
